Glenlands bulls sire grassfed champions

Camilla based Tedlands took home the Champion Pen Of Grassfed Steers at this years Taroom Show. The purebred entries sired by Glenlands bulls were milk and two tooth entries bred at Tedlands and finished on Buffel grass at Numbank, Taroom.

Weighing on average 570kg liveweight (554 and 586kgs individually) the pair took out the 550 – 650kg liveweight class and then went onto take out the Champions in the Grassfed/Cropfed section of the show. The pair are sourced from the Tedlands Droughtmaster programme that solely uses Glenlands genetics. Their annual 500 weaner steer turnoff is sent to Numbank, Taroom for growing and finishing purposes. The Prime Cattle section this year was supported by a field of over 180 head.
