Vintage takes out ‘Super Bull’ at Gympie

It was a successful day for the stud at yesterdays 2017 Gympie Feature Show.

After the main judging our 15-month-old youngster, Glenlanda Vintage (P) took out the hotly contested ‘Super Bull’ in the evening stud cattle events.
Vintage took home the ‘Super Bull’ title from a field of 24 other male contenders.
The youngster represents the first drop of Fairhaven Hercules (S) (Yaralla Lyndon) calves and is the first from the promising breeder and show winning dam in Serene (Glenlands K.B. – Glenlands Patience). Vintage is a close relative to one of the senior team members in the form of Unlimited who is a son of the multi award winner, Patience (P).

Other victories on the day from a 160 head showing included the Senior Champion Bull, Glenlands Unlimited (P) (Glenlands Rivington – Glenlands Patience) and the Junior Champion Heifer in Glenlands Vanetta (P) (Glenlands Storm Front – Glenlands Intrigue). Vanetta (pictured) is a daughter of the $28,000 2015 sale opener in Glenlands Storm Front (P) that sold to Steven Swan, Swan Stud, Moura.  We claimed two reserves in the junior ranks in the form of the Reserve Junior Champion Bull, Glenlands J Voltage (P) (Garthowen Sparrow II – Glenlands 8863) and the Reserve Calf Champion Female, Glenlands Vanna (P) (Glenlands Perkins – Glenlands 7385).

Rounding off the day in the group classes we scored a ‘blue’ in the Pair Of Females with Venetta and and Vicki. Congratulations to all the other exhibitors, ribbon winners and awardees, competitors and the committee behind the event.
