The thirteen month old, Duke (P) took home the Supreme, Junior and Grand Champion title at the Capella Show today.
Duke represents the first crop of calves by $31,000, National Sale graduate and introduction, Ridgie Didge Efficient (S). He’s the first natural from the show female, Belle who is a daughter of the $100,000, Beef Expo champion, Voltage now owned by Ben and Kerryn Mutton, Fieldhouse Stud, Wickepin, WA. Belle’s dam is a Strathfield Cosmo/Next In Line bred female that’s produced another aspiring youngster, Charlton (Lamont Orlando).
In an all Interbreed competition involving Droughtmasters, Beefmasters, Simmentals, Santa Gertrudis and Brangus in front of judge, Terry Randall, Cranium, Tieri, Glenlands claimed the Reserve Senior Champion Bull, with Comrade (Unreal/Comanche Cheif/Swan Jeopardise). Five first placings with Diego, Dubbo, Daisy, Effie including the Breeders Group came our way also. Other place getters were Dollar, Dapper and Esmae.
